Corvin Castle, located in Hunedoara, is one of the largest castles in Europe and one or the Seven Wonders of Romania. Construction first began in 1446 under the instruction of Hungarian military leader John Hunyadi and has undergone several additional phases since. At one point in time, Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned here by Hunyadi.
