Skopje is the capital city of North Macedonia. It has beautiful mountain ranges overlooking two sides of the city, and the stunning Matka Canyon is a few kilometers to the west. The peculiar thing about the city is that it is riddled with and unknown number of statues. Nobody knows the exact number, but the citizens view them as eyesores that were implemented by a corrupt government under the guise of boasting tourism. Popular or not, it was fun to see how many statues I could find. Watch the three-part video series below to see what most of the statues look like.
